Common Questions
How does payment work?+
We confirm your date by email or WhatsApp first. A deposit is invoiced via Stripe to lock in the date; the balance is paid on the day of the visit or via Stripe link before. Cash on arrival is also accepted for the balance.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?+
Free reschedule with 7+ days notice. Within 7 days, the deposit covers planning + food prep we will have already started. We are flexible — just contact us early.
Can the visit be customized to my interest?+
Yes. Tell us in advance what matters most: cupping & sensory, processing & fermentation, agronomy & soils, business / direct trade, or photography — we adjust the day around your priority.
Are there dietary restrictions you can accommodate?+
Yes — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal: tell us when booking. The farm kitchen prepares a traditional Colombian lunch from our own ingredients; substitutions are easy.
What about transport from the airport?+
We can arrange private pickup from Pereira (PEI), Cali (CLO), or Armenia (AXM) at cost. Most visitors drive a rental car. Detailed directions sent with the booking confirmation.
Is there lodging on or near the farm?+
Several boutique fincas-hotel and B&Bs within 15–40 minutes of the farm; we share recommendations after booking. The farm itself does not host overnight stays at this time.
What if it rains?+
The visit continues — most processing and cupping happens indoors. We adjust the order of activities and shorten the field walk. We are at 1,700–1,900 masl; rain is common and usually short.
Can I share photos and video from the visit?+
Yes, freely. Tag @particularcoffee if you post. For commercial use (brand campaigns, paid content), please ask in advance.
Is the farm wheelchair-accessible?+
Partially. The wet mill, drying patio, cupping room, and farmhouse meal areas are all on flat ground or have ramps. The vertical field walk through coffee rows includes 1,700–1,900 masl uneven terrain and is not wheelchair-accessible. We adjust the day for visitors with mobility needs — please let us know in advance.
Can I bring children?+
Yes — children 8+ are welcome with a parent. We adjust the pace and add hands-on activities (cherry-picking, sensory tasting of dried coffee aromas, cupping intro). The full 6–8 hour day is long for under-8s; for younger children, contact us for a shorter half-day variant.
Is there WiFi at the farm?+
Yes — WiFi covers the farmhouse and cupping room (Starlink, reliable). Field coverage is limited (rural Colombia mountain terrain). Cell service is patchy. Plan to be offline during the field portion; the farmhouse afternoon is connected.
Do you carry liability insurance for visitors?+
Yes. The farm carries Colombian general-liability insurance covering visitor injury on premises. For institutional buyers (universities, roastery groups, employer-organized visits), we can provide a certificate of insurance and a signed release form. Email santiago@particularcoffee.com with your institution's requirements.
